Metro Exodus: Sam's Story Review (JAIRO)
"Sam's Story" is just as atmospheric and immersive as the main game.
Definitely recommended, both for learning of Sam's fate as well as exploring a new city Vladivostok!
Metro Exodus is the best of the trilogy and both its DLC's are chunky and worth it!
The DLC missions in Last Light were lacking in some departments, especially the story missions, mainly they were too short.
"Sam's Story" gives us one semi-open world, similar to the regions in the main game.
Vladivostok is unique and nothing like Moscow, Novosibirsk, Taiga or Volga.
Sam is a likable American who just wants to go home, but the game once again puts a moral dilemma in front of us.
Tom and Captain Ed are both interesting characters, each honorable in their own right. It is hard to chose, there is no right and wrong path.
For me, more than halfway through, I encountered the "invisible body" bug. As of now, there is no fix, unless complete chapter restart. That's a bit tricky with a DLC as it is one big chapter... Devs how is this not fixed yet after all these years?
Despite that visual annoyance, the DLC was decent.
I enjoyed it.
