Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Review (Zalno)
The game collection is good, but Capcom decided to retroactively update this game and several others with Enigma malware to stop people from modding their games. As far as I can tell, there is no noticeable performance hit on either the PC or the Steam Deck. That being said, it's extremely nasty of Capcom to do this. Until Capcom reverses their decision, I will leave my review as negative.
If you haven't already bought the collection, I'd advise not to purchase them until Capcom reverses this decision. If you already purchased the game but don't want to refund it or if you want to buy the game anyways, I highly recommend that you downgrade it to the October 13th 2023 build since that version does not contain Denuvo or Enigma in it. You won't be able to play online this way, but you can still mod it if you want. Although, word has it that a MMBN modder has already figured out how to make mods work on the latest build of this and the other part of the Battle Network collection.
