Marvel's Midnight Suns: The Hunger Review (|Pipe Dreams)
Morbius is the latest DLC for Midnight Suns on Steam, and it's the best one so far. This character is a mix of Blade and Wolverine, and he's a chaotic, multitarget, bleeding, concealing machine. One of his unique abilities is to control enemies and make them work for you. The DLC picks up where Deadpool and Venom left off, and it's likely that the storyline will continue with the Storm DLC in the future.
There's not much to dislike about Morbius. He feels more real than Deadpool, and his banter with Spiderman is enjoyable. However, his costume design could be better. The best costume is the cape, but it's not particularly special compared to other heroes. The voice actor did a great job bringing the character to life.
Morbius' story is the end of this arc, and it's satisfying to finally have a villain that feels complete. Although he's not particularly hard to defeat, the mechanics of the battle make it challenging. If you want to bleed your enemies and spawn more of them, Morbius is the perfect hero for you.
One downside to the DLC is that the upgrades to the Abbey should have been included from the start. It feels like cut content, and it doesn't add much to the three missions that players have to complete. Additionally, the three missions are padded out with three general missions, which can be frustrating for players at the end game.
Overall, Morbius' storyline is the best of the three DLCs. If you're new to Midnight Suns and want more heroes, buy Morbius before Deadpool and Venom. If you want a complete story, buy all three. However, if you've already beaten the game, there's not much value in buying the DLCs individually.
