Marvel's Midnight Suns: Blood Storm Review (Watermelon Knife)

This DLC follows a similar format to the previous 3 DLCs, Of three story missions (plus the midnight sun's costume/power mission at max friendship level) and the character. However there is one additional final mission which brings to a conclusion the story arch introduced and expanded upon on within the previous three DLCs. Like the Morbius DLC, this also has an Abbey upgrade which adds a bit more to the portal training room, adding additional enemies and difficulty. So compared to the previous 3 DLCs this actually has a lot more to offer for value for money... However it doesn't seem introduce any new enemies that haven't been seen previously. You still only have the same two bosses from this four DLC season pass arch.
(EDIT: The season pass conclusion mission requires all 4 DLC story missions to be completed for it to be available)
As for Storm and her powerset, Her costumes look ok but for some reason the white 90s iteration of her, her white costume is a little glossy and to me just looks weird as result! At the time of this review I've not unlocked her midnight suns costume but I believe you see a glimpse of it in the trailer for the DLC..
Her powers, it's a bit different, many of her cards to get the most out of them require them to stay in your hand for a turn or more (the mechanic is similar to Huntérs Guarding strike card), however Storm is not a damage dealing character but more of a support character... She does have one damage dealing card (Crushing blow) that the longer it's in your hand, the more damage it does and the more expensive it costs to cast. Usually after about 5 or so turns on normal difficulty, it has enough damage to one shot any boss, beyond that it's kinda overkill!
Development team definitely tried to something a little different here, not sure how well it really worked out, cause I find Storm a bit of a struggle to use. I wished the devs put as much thought into the previous three DLCs as they did this one. Each subsequent DLC release after the initial launch of the base game as gradually improved over time, but I'm left thinking that the game would have been a whole lot better if the entirety of the season pass was just part of the initial base game offering.
On the whole this last DLC gets a positive recommendation but only just! It's still on a costly side for my tastes.
