Maneater: Truth Quest Review (Blazing_shadow)
Well i'll say they missed the mark a good bit, solid 5/10 if you bought it for like 4$ like i did. (+) As i said for the main game, you do NOT need to grind... unless you want everything fully upgraded as SOON as possible i guess. (=)the new map for the DLC was interesting for atleast an hour but the new map gets boring after an hour. (=) To FUCKING many time trials but if you aren't stupid and just used shadow set with some of the speed increase perks you will likely not need to retry more than 5 or so times, at least 4 or so of the 16 or so time trails made sense and was therefore exciting, and besides I think it'd have been better if they gave the time trials from the start, MAYBE they didn't because I finished the base game and THEN bought the DLC. (+) the new set was pretty focused on combat and did a good job of it, it was interesting to be a radioactive shark, even if ALL the buffs were just strictly attack build. (-) i don't care for needlessly killing so many groups of people after the 25th time i have to do so for a side quest, even if they're illuminati soldiers. (+) i got it for like 4$ (-) 100% achievement completion locked behind paywall. (+) I find the narration self aware and funny (-) DANG, looking at the other reviews I remembered some stuff, like it was only with the DLC as far as I recall I crashed to desktop at least twice, and the jumping also got janky, i would LUNGE for a sailor and it'd bork for a frame and suddenly i've 180'd and am jumping AWAY from the sailor filling me with lead from a '47... (-) The glitch of you borking for a frame and you suddenly randomly face another direction counted for why i failed at least half of the times i did. The glitch mid jump was actually so bad I AM counting it twice.
points of note :
positives (+) 4
negatives (-) 4
Equals out (=) 2
My scoring math: (5) by default, +4 -4 =5/10
