Lords of the Fallen Review (GrasslandGamer)
This game is hot garbage, don’t waste your time. I’ve put 19 hours into this game and have barely made any progress. Once you complete the third boss in the game it becomes impossible as your given two routes, each is full of enemies scaled beyond any of your capabilities. You can grind and level-up but it just seems to get worse, I’ve read that enemies don’t scale but it seems to get significantly harder as you level up.
As others have said combat is slow and monotonous, I didn’t mind this at first but the fact that every single one of your attack animations can get interrupted at any time by any enemy is ridiculous, even a running jump heavy attack gets interrupted. It soon gets old.
I feel there’s seriously something wrong with a game when I can play to the third boss with a good amount of challenge only for it to become impossible to go any further just because of poor game development. I don’t mind ‘souls likes’ I’ve completed a fair few but this isn’t on par, it’s really not down to ‘get good’ it’s just broken.
I would have rather spent 19 hours on plane with constantly screaming crying children because at least I’d be going somewhere. If I could get a refund I would, luckily I got it in sale.
