Let's School Review (Mike Michaels)
One thing that really sticks out to me is the pure balance that this game has over having a lot to do, quotas to hit, being challenging, and also being relaxing. I play a lot of simulation games and a lot of them struggle to do all of this as well as this game. I was not expecting that going in and I think that's what makes this game so great, so I figured I would start with that.
There is so much to uncover as you progress. There is so much to tinker with to get things just the way you want them. I'm willing to bet almost no two starting schools end up the same as you climb up different tech trees, end up stronger in particular studies, or decide to cater to specific communities.
I cannot believe I'm already 13 hours in as I feel like i'm barely maybe halfway through the content? Maybe even less, let alone the options it gave me at the start of the game. Apparently a lot of the game is random gen so my next school will likely follow a much different path, which is exciting.
Finally, one piece of advice I would give when you're on the fence on a sim game, is to look at the updates. Devs are still active for this game so you can buy with some level of confidence.
Also you can adopt what might be an endless supply of stray cats and your students/faculty interact with them and they interact with your school.
