LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Review (Wiffle_Snuff)
This game is amazing, it's very simple but at the same time entertaining. A majority of the artifacts are pretty straightforward, only few may require the artifact detector red brick / a guide. The game's story has few major differences from the movies, which is to be expected, not a bad thing.
Every level was mostly enjoyable, only few times did it get annoying (getting repeatedly 1 shot by explosives from enemies, building / fixing / digging canceled from enemies).
The only issues I have with it is some of the bugs and or features that force you to replay a level again in freeplay, such as skipping boss fights that have obtainable artifacts in them, as well as some boss fights being confusing / too time consuming, though I believe that's only in 2 levels which would be Free The Slaves, level 5 in Temple of Doom, and Battle on the Bridge, level 6 in Temple of Doom. I'm unsure of the intended way to beat the slave driver, but if the way I did it was intended then I'm wondering how the target demographic would figure out to do that. For level 6, figuring out what to do is quite easy, but executing it is too precise. If everything worked properly it wouldn't be terrible, but the general consensus is that it's a terrible boss fight, even in freeplay.
I loved this game and I'd still rate it a 10/10 despite it's few shortcomings, however I'd only recommend buying it when it's on sale. Most people 100% it in under 30 hours, as fun as it is, less than 30 hours of great gameplay is NOT worth full price. I personally spent about 20 hours total in my 100% journey.
