Learn Japanese to Survive! Hiragana Battle Review (Malicious intent (I see you))
Bought and downloaded cuz I think the combat mechanics are challenging and educational. Apart from sprint turned off the main issue I had was lack of info on what the Hirigana character opponents do against you.
* Lack of basic stats on the enemy. Theres no encyclopedia of sorts in the game that records enemy stats before and after you defeat them.
* You dont know what skillsets the Hirigana opponent has and how much damage it does.
* Their targeting method seems to be random.
* The pattern on who gets to strike seems to be on who has the best stats in the fight?
Id appreciate the game more if the number of burst damage opponents are reduced and replaced with more skills that slowly drain your life per turn because whenever the player reaches a new level of the game they would face stronger opponents, and since the enemy's stats are definitely always higher they would always make the first blows resulting in heavy casualties despite the player getting all the answers correct. This results in repeatedly retreating all the way back to home base for replenishments until the your team slowly levels up to withstand atleast 5 fights or more before the area boss fight.
It was not challenging as I thought when it comes to damage numbers but all in all, you can learn fast because its a life or death scenario. Despite it all I had fun. Recommended for people who want a challenging memory game that isnt for babies.
