Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony Review (UnknowN)
Game isn't worth its price.
As remaster, it totally sucks: just improved graphics and added some sounds, music and other small details. I remember, at one time, original game was free, and for such bad remaster, they set such a huge price...
Game itself is also not so good, even for its genre:
- Too short (you need about 1 hour to full complete the game on normal);
- Terrible controls;
- Problems with hitboxes;
- No customization/selection of your character;
- Only 1 playable character;
- Bad balance and abilities;
- Annoying gameplay;
- Again terrible flight mode.
Among advantages:
- Excellent OST (music and overall sound in game are really wonderful, it was only thanks to OST that I decided to buy and play this game). There's even voice acting for characters, but I don't think voices really suit them;
- Visual and atmosphere;
- Choice of difficulty and customize number of lives (as in original Touhou games);
- Extra start with some different conditions and boss battles;
- Good adaptation of original Touhou;
- Well-implemented bullet hell element from original (bosses spells and other).
I leave a negative review and don't recommend you to buy this game. If price were 3-4 times lower (about 150-200 RUB ~ 2-3 USD), then it might be fine, but now it's better to buy one of original Touhou games.
