Kingdom Two Crowns: Norse Lands Review (Lömsk Kråka)
More of a good thing is never wrong, right? Norse Lands is a “Norse” setting on the tried and tested gameplay of Kingdoms with a few injections of change. I for one found Norse Lands to be a bit unbalanced when it comes to the powers at one's disposal. For one thing the dastardly flying greeds have been replaced by a charging crustacean greed that after changing steed to a bäckahäst, what you non-swedes might call Ceffyl Dŵr, Capaill Uisce, kelpie or simply water horse the charge attack became completely obsolete. Likewise the ability to smite your enemies with the power of lightning turned the difficulty down another few notches and made the invasions a matter of waiting for cooldowns. However I still like Norse lands, the gameplay is varied enough from the base game with a bigger emphasis on melee-fighting and the new points of interest bring variation.
Some individuals pointed out various bugs, I never encountered any during my playthrough but might as well lift it as a general warning. In the end you can safely wait with Norse Lands until after you are sick and tired of the base game, if by then you want to go Viking this is a good place to start while waiting for Valheim to exit early access limbo..
