Kingdom Rush Vengeance: Pirate Kings Review (Mr.Furro)
After completing this DLC in Impossible difficulty, I gotta say, great DLC. Many things that some people are complaining about are great, although I can understand the sentiment.
Lucerna, the newest hero in the DLC, is good. She's not Dianyun by any means (Easily the strongest hero out of all the games possibly), but strong magical area damage, crazy range and extreme crowd control (Literally forcing enemies to fight each other) makes her fun and useful. I strictly used Lucerna from beginning to end to complete the DLC!
The enemies' and level's pirate design is great, got some Sea of Thieves vibes from some levels. I am kinda biased towards these, I am a big fan of pirate aesthetic, but I think they nailed it.
And most controversial, one of the bosses, the Deep King, who can destroy your towers and force you to re-buy and re-upgrade them, is kinda cool. Hear me out. Bosses who destroy your towers have already been implemented before (Umbra, Malik), and yes, It definitely is hard to go against, but that's the point. Once you set up your towers and fully upgrade them, the game becomes quite easy. So a boss that can throw off that strategy and make you re-think your choices is good in my book.
100% Recommended, Iron Hide never disappoints, looking forward to future updates & DLCs to Alliance.
