Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Review (Kitsuragi)
Audentes Fortuna Iuvat!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II takes everything that made the first game great and enhances it in every conceivable way.
In the very first location, i got lost for a full 40+ hours without even touching the main storyline. It's a really massive game which incredibly hard to pull yourself away...
Why i enjoyed it so much:
A lot of cool side-quests - which almost each you can complete in many ways - all depends on your choices and how considerate you are. Some of them have small or in some cases (romances) even significant impact on main story.
Captivating narrative - with a lot of unexpected twists where you will sometimes laugh and sometimes cry - where your ally becomes an enemy and your enemy becomes your friend.
(But i found frustrating that Warhorse created one of the most greatest scene in the game with von Aulitz๐ which is easy missable. This moment is truly a gem where you also found out truly explanation - why game called Kingdom Come: Deliverance)
Stunning visual style/graphics - even without raytracing! - Vegetation here is among the finest I've encountered in any game, creating a rich and immersive natural environment with own special atmosphere. But Kuttenberg... is a true masterpiece! - a monumental city created with love and attention to detail.
(Actually KCDII uses raytracing but it's not the same as in other games and it is more fps-friendly)
Amazing soundtrack - Jan Valta is nothing short of a genius, and his music is so good that it could easily become a permanent fixture on your playlist. Be warned, though - once you start listening, you may find yourself hitting the repeat button over and over again. Don't make my mistake..
Great characters - each with their own unique spark and charisma. Even the non-significant and minor characters are more memorable then MAIN characters in other games, and that's already saying a lot for it. But dialogs here is something else - i just leave it here, enjoy. ๐
Incredible attention to detail - NPC reacts and comment at all your actions - how clean you are, which horse do you have, even how you play dice.. For example if you lose at dice and then reload your save to win, your opponent might call you a devil. But that's just the beginning! Did you know that if you equip blacksmith clothes before you craft something you will become boost for your Craftsmanship skill? The game doesnโt explicitly mention this, leaving player to discover these nuances on your own and there is a lot of it.
Also worth mentioning is fantastic optimization: a finished and polished game on RELEASE DAY ? 60+ fps even on 9 year old graphics cards like 1060 without FSR enabled ?
And that's even without MICROSTUTTERS ?

Overall, this is not just the best sequel ever made, but one of the greatest RPGs I've ever played alongside with Witcher 3.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and I will always hold a special place in my heart - thank you Warhorse โค๏ธ
