Kingdom Come: Deliverance - A Woman's Lot Review (stysiaq)

I actually enjoyed the idea fleshing out the prologue with another character's POV. But this is inconsequential to the main story (it's a flashback), nothing from it comes up later, I played the game 'regularily' there, gathering stuff, even purchasing a treasure map and finding it. I thought that maybe I'll get what I gather with Theresa after I finish the DLC and give these resources to Henry to jump-start your adventure, but no. All you get is a shield (to be frank I used this shield for the majority of my current playthrough).
And it makes sense to play this early - the moment you speak with the character after Henry's prologue ends (it's natural to ask Theresa what happened), so it just feels like a huge roadblock before you actually get to play the "real" game. Overall this DLC feels incredibly awkward in it's execution. What's even more strange is that just right after you saw how useless Henry is in the prologue before getting any relevant skills to survive in the world you get to play as a supposedly even more useless character who somehow is given the ability to stealth kill Cumans. So, it leads to a situation where your first Cuman kills in the game aren't with Henry but with his miller girl neighbour.
The gameplay in the DLC isn't riveting, girl just wanders around fetching stuff. It's basically a long tutorial right after you finished the tutorial, adding to the awkwardness.
I have to admit the story inside the DLC is good, emotional and touching. I didn't even mind the slow pace. But again, since later nothing seems to come up, it still feels like effort and time wasted.
Also, Theresa wakes up early in the DLC to feed the chickens and do other chores before others wake up... yet in the main game I need to pass extra hours in order for her to wake her lazy ass up so I can progress with her stupid dating quest, breaking immersion.
So many issues with this piece of DLC that even though I love the game overall, I wouldn't ever play through this thing again and would actively discourage people from clicking the button.
PS: apparently, the dog is also a part of this DLC and not the main game? But for the most part the dog is the annoying part of the game so I'd still skip this in any other playthrough.
