Kingdom Come: Deliverance - A Woman's Lot Review (Putrefaction)

I very rarely write negative reviews because I rarely have experiences negative enough to merit it. First: I am really enjoying Kingdom Come in general, and grabbed all the DLC because Steam sales are the best. I do recommend KC:D for sure!
I'll start by saying that this DLC is a really interesting premise and could have been something really cool, maybe even as a standalone game in which I intentionally bargained what I was getting into when I started. I did find much of the fetch and carry quests to be tedious after .... not long, actually, but my biggest problem with this DLC is the way in which it begins. It starts out with no clear warning and once you're in it you're in it till the end. I'm not so impetuous that I'm only fascinated by constant hyper-masculine hack'n'slash hero action and actually consider this perspective and play style to be fascinating, but this was a bit of a slog despite that.
So far, I have only played through the Theresa storyline, which took me about two hours. I skipped a good deal of sidequests because frankly I was bored and wanted to get back to the game I never intended to leave in the first place.
Sadly, nothing you do in this expansion seems to impact Henry when you return. He is given one item, but it's not clear to me whether he would have been given that item regardless, and this is my first playthrough of the game at all, so I will admit I still don't know what to expect.
I will still play the other quest, and I hope I have more notice before it begins and a more enjoyable experience. I will update this review afterwards and am still going into it with an open mind.
As for now, I'm not saying this game is a hard pass, just be well aware going in that the moment Henry returns to Theresa to ask her about what happened in Skalitz, the DLC will begin without a confirmation. Could I have read into this before doing that? Sure. Should I have had to? Maybe? Maybe it's all my fault and I'm the idiot, but either way, don't make my mistake.
