Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection Review (avatarfox83)

If you were a fan of any of the games in this collection then you'll likely enjoy this one (if you enjoyed the originals anyway). I have played the SNES version before and the game boy versions of Jurassic Park and was not disappointed. It's great that publishers are re-releasing these games for others to enjoy. Sadly for new comers, these games weren't super amazing on their release so any negative feedback is mostly because of the games themselves, rather than the quality of the port.
Of particular note are the FPS sections on the SNES version... YES THEY WERE THAT SLOW! And yet this version is my favourite as the music is atmospheric, the graphics and colour were good for the time. I found the Game boy version to be an accurate port (and yes, the frame rate on the GB also dipped when there were lots of things going on at once... I would say that makes it a faithful recreation ;) ).
It is a shame that they had to remove the likeness of the original JP actors on the SNES version which wasn't done brilliantly but it's a minor distraction and doesn't interfere with game play. I think this is also why it would be harder to include the MS DOS version of the game in the collection since one section uses the original likeness quite heavily towards the end of the game and it would be hard to replace them.
I can't really comment on the Sega ports having never played them but it looks like there are some fans out there but they seem playable and just as faithful from footage I've found.
Overall I would say that if you are a fan of the Jurassic park movies then you may find some old school fun in here, even if you didn't get to play them the first time around. For those who have fond memories of any of these games then you'll also have some fun here.
