Jotun: Valhalla Edition Review (Avocado In The Rain)
The biggest enemy in this game is your own patience. Don't go into this game expecting a hack and slash. This is just someone's art portfolio that they make you walk through ever so slowly without much actual gameplay, be it enemies, collectibles, or secrets. All movements and attacks are so sluggish that you genuinely spend entire seconds just waiting for your hits to land on the few actual bosses and enemies in this game. Even the simple puzzles are stretched out to annoyance by having to constantly wait for your seconds long heavy attack to charge.
And as pretty as the art is, it's not the best for a video game. There were several points where I couldn't tell which parts I was able to walk on, and which parts were the background.
The bosses weren't even hard so much as they were frustrating. You move so slowly that any time you get hit, you saw the attack coming ages ago but you simply weren't able to move to a safe spot in the immense amounts of time you were given. And by the time you get close enough to attack them once or twice, they've already jumped away, and they have massive health bars so you have to do this over and over again.
