Invincible Presents: Atom Eve Review (KOVEIRA)
So this is my first foray into the Invincible series, and having completed this, I can say that I have had a great time and am definitely keen on watching the show now.
The game subverts expectations by being more about Eve and the struggles she faces trying to balance being a superhero as well as a teenager instead of the same tired beats of every superhero offering. It is a breath of fresh air in a market that is very samey and I am glad that it exists (and hope they make sequels).
The game will also be interesting to an Invincible fan as it gives perspective of what she has been up to during the events of the main series.
Speaking of the game on its own, the art-style is charming, the background music is great and the story-line is pretty good. I think its great that they added turn-based combat to the mix so its not just a plain visual novel, sort of mixes things up that way. There are some interesting choices that you can make too, so there is some replayability value to it as well.
All in all, I had a great time and can definitely recommend it, even at the full price (a reasonable one at that) which they are asking.
