Injustice: Gods Among Us, a game full of tributes that the loyal fans will soon pick up.
In addition, the gameplay is also solid, from counters and parry attacks to the interactive environments!
Injustice knows how to keep the gameplay entertaining. Of course you run the risk with a fighter that the gameplay can become monotonous, but once you have found the fighters you like the most, you know what to look forward to.
Fortunately, the large amount of modes and the fact that each character plays a little differently in that case.
Performing special moves and taking and dealing blows will fill a special Supermove meter. If you then press both triggers, your hero or criminal will start a special animation. Superman, for example, hits his opponents into space, and then chases them and hits them back to earth with a hard blow. They are fun animations to watch and actually feel like a reward for your hard work.
In addition to the story mode, you can also choose from the Battle mode. In this mode, you can defeat multiple sets of opponents with different conditions applying each time. For example, you can do a Speed Run and have to beat all your opponents within three minutes. Several of these modes are initially unavailable, but can be unlocked in the Archives.
In the Archives you can exchange Armory and Archive cards for new costumes, artwork, music and new options for the single player. These cards are obtained simply by playing the game and gaining experience with each battle. If you have enough experience, you level up and get these cards to buy things in the Archives.
Another element that comes up during gameplay is the use of interactive objects in the levels, which secretly reminds me of mortal kombat 4 where in some levels you could pick up skulls that were on the floor and throw them at your opponent, but here in injustice we are talking about a stack of missiles you can pick up and throw at opponents, or you can grab an overhanging statue and hurl at your opponent.
In addition to being tactical, it also keeps the combat somewhat chaotic and ensures that you always have to stay on your guard.
