Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition Review (Monticreed)
I'm a button-masher. Born, raised and guilty.
I grew up in the era of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2 so I should know better. But I am limited by my exposure, since I only got to play at birthday parties.
I am the villain.
To change this, I bought this and a couple other games. Goal? Train my 40-something mind to finally respect the precise button combos that distinguish a great player from a newb who wins by constantly (accidentally) hitting a well-trained player's weak points.
Ten hours in? No luck with that.
BUT if you are like me and enjoy this type of game despite your lack of skill, the story is good and the Difficulty Levels WILL allow you to experience it all. More than can be said of many of this type. Be warned. Every increase in Difficulty Level comes with a steep learning curve.
For me, Very Easy is boring. Easy is almost too easy but throws challenges once in a while. Medium is impossible. There are levels beyond this, including Normal. I dare not walk among those gods.
