Howl Review (Tavdogg11)
Love. Let me tell you how much I've come to love this game since I began to play. There are 100 billion neurons within my brain and body. If the word 'love' was engraved on each nanometer of those hundreds of billions of brain, it would not equal one one-quadrillonth of the love I feel for fucked up folktales. For this. Love. Love.
I don't really do detailed reviews much, but holy shit this game is so worth the playthrough. I won't spoil much, but the fact it has some great puzzle gameplay, simple yet great storytelling, and an amazing art style and music to fit the game's aesthetic. Please give this game a playthrough. It will be worth your time, aside from some frustrating segments here and there.
I have 10.3 hours on this game, most of it spent on fully completing everything and unlocking all the achievements, which shouldn't be too hard to do. You might spend on average 3 hours on this game playing the base campaign alone, though do note to at least try to unlock every ability and max level them so you can survive the more difficult segments.
Just note: You are playing a puzzle game. If that isn't for you, best skip. If you love puzzle games, great. Pick this game up. Worth the playthrough, and it honestly needs more attention.
