House Flipper: Pets Review (tatiana)
This DLC is decent, but I feel it's Not for everyone. It all depends on the type of player you are.
- I Do Not recommend the Pets DLC if you play mostly for the missions. The missions themselves are interesting enough, but the devs seem to think that "cosy" means "cluttered to such a degree that the house would have been unusable in real life if you were to put all that furniture in there".
On a related note, there have been a lot of complaints from the players about the "small pet enclosures" (iguana terrariums, bird cages, etc.) being too big to fit into any but the largest of rooms. The same goes for stuff like the "cat gym" which takes up half a room. So if you are short of space, stick with dogs (there are kennels for them) guinea pigs and rabbits (their enclosures make sense if put in the garden)
- I Do Not recommend this as your first DLC either. Of the 11 houses it adds, there is only one priced under 100K (I use British Pounds as my in-game currency). So if you are expecting some smaller, cheaper properties, you are out of luck with this one - get the Luxury DLC instead, which has about 3 sub-100K homes.
- I Do recommend this DLC if your favourite bit is doing up the Browser houses. The items it adds, in every single category, are stellar, have a medium price point, and there's something for any size and style of property. The new patterns and wood finishes are top quality.
- I Do recommend it for those who like doing the houses up top to bottom - the new houses have large basements that are easy to convert, many of them also have attics with sloping roofs.
- The new mechanics - ceiling painting and tiling, adding and removing external doors, hanging lightbulb chains - are very well done, and work in all properties in the game, not just the DLC ones.
Overall, thank you, devs, for yet another great expansion!
