Hitman Review (rategod)

In 2016, the bald hitman decided to return to the roots of the series, so we once again saw extensive interactive levels where our dark imagination could work to the full. Hitman isn't about simply shooting your target - it takes a fair amount of ingenuity.
There is an opportunity to consider whether it makes sense to wear a black jacket and shave your head. At least virtually.
In the previous games we also traveled to a bunch of more or less exotic places, but I had at least a vague idea of why I was going from one location to another. The game will now play you some video after a mission where some mysterious figure appears, mutters a few random and menacing sentences, and that's it. This is followed by a jump to the menu, where thanks to the episodic nature, you can play the last level straight away, breaking the story bond.
Sure, you'll just play the levels one at a time, although often the game will nudge you to skip ahead (for example, by alerting you to a timed objective in one of the levels). But even when playing gradually, the story does not leave a greater impression. It feels like a cheap concoction of Mission: Impossible and similar thrillers about secret agencies and skilled agents.
And when I said there are a handful of sandbox environments in the game, I mean a handful. If I don't count the tutorial missions, we're only talking about six levels. Although they are sufficiently extensive and detailed, they do not represent anything that we have not already encountered a few times in the series - luxury restaurants, hotels, mountain resorts or sunny Italy.
Hitman sends you to the same destinations repeatedly, but with different tasks, to rack up the hours of gameplay. Which is kind of weird. 35%
