Hello Kitty Island Adventure Review (Tauri)
It is way too overpriced for what it is. This is a mobile port to PC/Console; as such, it still has mobile-based systems such as RL time gates. I wasn't even two hours in before I got my first time gate... Which was a serious progression blocker so soon. Without much spoilers, you must get Kuromi to Lv6 to continue giving the Welcome Gifts. You get 3 gifts a day, and using those three may get you a level and a half? Obviously, it is different if you're using 2-Heart or 3-Heart rating gifts, but at this point in the game, you can only give Kuromi a Jack-o-Lantern as a 2-Heart gift. This is 15 Pumpkins, and I want to say maybe 18-20? Spawn per RL Day. Which would also mean that It would take me... Three, four? RL days to progress past the Welcome Gifts quest and unlock all the other quests the game says you "have" but is locked behind the completion of other quests.
And don't even think about Time Travelling. It will only ruin your save file, and the devs explicitly state that you should not do that after getting your first in-game mail. So unless you're using cheats of some kind, you're going to be waiting a while to get into the game itself.
Take my estimations of hearts/spawns with a grain of salt, I'm not great with numbers, but I had to give Kuromi 9 gifts and finish a quest with her before I could acquire the Snorkel to continue progressing... Which wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't gone "All-In" and gotten the Deluxe pack that gives you gift-reset flowers.
Buy it on sale only. $20 max for the Deluxe edition, IMO. $6-7 max for the base game since that's roughly what you'll "pay" for the Apple Arcade sub to play it on mobile.
