Heavenly Bodies: Cleanup Review (EonsNearby)
I left a review for Heavenly Bodies base game as well, and the same context, positive feedback, and complaints my friend and I had in the base game apply to this DLC as well.
In this DLC, there's again 7 missions to playthrough, but each mission is noticeably shorter and they each take place in the same map rather than having a different, dedicated map for each mission. With that being said, something new unlocks or something changes on the map with each mission. I read several reviews that said they didn't like this approach, and while you do end up repeating certain tasks in each mission (i.e. waste disposal/recycling), I personally didn't mind it and found it a refreshing change after the base game. Though, that might have to do with each mission also being shorter (which I think was a change for the better), and also with the fact that shortly into this DLC, you unlock a jetpack for each astronaut. The jetpack makes moving through zero gravity MUCH less awkward and more efficient, but since you can't use your hands while operating the jetpack, I wouldn't say it breaks the game.
As far as gripes unique to the DLC are concerned, we encountered 1 bug that caused us to have to shut the game down. It was during Mission 5 or 6 where we had to navigate this compartment area to transmit a signal, and we suspect that it might have been due to a physics overload since we had to keep maneuvering through these bendable rod things. Aside from that, there was a tool that we had to use to locate radiation leaks that needed to be taped up using a separate tool. However, because the game mission debriefing documents use pictures to describe what you're supposed to do each mission, we had trouble deciphering how the heck we were supposed to use the 2 tools to fix the leaks.
Overall, we enjoyed this DLC (and I think I enjoyed it more than the base game).
