Gylt Review (mdwbm)
If you are looking for a simple stealth game with good graphics, don't wait. Pick this up NOW..
Gylt was a Stadia (Yeah, that dead gaming concept) exclusive that moved over to everything after a short stent. You play a the older sister looking for your missing younger sister who just started going to the same school as you. For some reason, there is a parallel city that she was trapped in with several other town residents.
If you are looking for a game with excellent graphics, I would not put this on the top of the list. Do not get me wrong, the graphics are great and the level of detail is outstanding. This game was not designed to look like Horizon Zero Dawn. The comical animated style brings a sense of childish wonder mixed with a terror of silent hill. Heavy attention was paid to when they designed the feel of the environments.
Moving over to the music. I will be short. It is simplistic to the point where it gets the atmosphere and tension where it needs to but no further. On the plus side, although repetitive, it is not overly loud nor is it annoying.
Controls are simple. You pick up a few items that you would normally find at a school. These items will be used to clear pathways and deal with the monsters. As the game is more stealth than anything, usage will be more for traversing the multiple sections.
The game has multiple endings so there is room for additional play-throughs.
In conclusion, if you have fatigue from all those hardcore games, definitely pick this up. It is not very long but have simple intuitive game-play with a satisfying story!
