Grid 2 Review (Shinigami)
After a long time the game kind of grew on me, I like it. Didn't like it at first due to a number of small things (AI driving tanks on rails, for one), but, overall, it's quite enjoyable. As long as you are good at it or can step over you pride and drop the difficulty :D
The game heavily emphasizes clean racing, which I love (hitting other cars or walls throws the car around and you almost always end up facing exactly opposite to track direction). At the same time, the game emphasizes drifting - you get better speeds when drifting through a corner compared to slowing down before a corner, which can be unintuitive for a while (especially after certain other racing games).
Sadly, online is practically dead and the game is removed from Steam store (I'm not sure if anyone can find this review :D ), despite that I occasionally run into players still actively racing online (kudos to devs for not shutting down the servers on a game this old).
Fun fact: I noticeably faster results on keyboard compared to gamepad. That 60 second track achievement was impossible with gamepad (1.01, 1.02 every lap after fourth), second and third laps on KB were 59 and 58 seconds, respectively. I also get much easier time drifting on keyboard, but that's probably just me.
