Graveyard Keeper: Stranger Sins Review (StormRangerX)

Loved the base game but this DLC is pretty lame honestly.
The tavern doesn't really add much to the gameplay, it's just another source of background income, and a rather absurd amount at that so long as you have zombie vineyards and winery. By the time I beat a fresh game with this DLC I had over 50 gold, and I had long since stopped bothering with the merchant's business. 50 gold is just comically more than you could ever need. The events you can host in the tavern are similar to running a sermon in the church, just with a bigger bonus amount of cash.
The story added through the Archaeology stuff is nice, does a lot of world building of various things that were mostly glossed over before. However, I felt it ended up answering a lot of questions I never really found myself asking, as it establishes things that happened 200 years prior to your arrival, while I was expecting it to talk more about the previous Keepers and the Great Blast that happened 30 or so years ago. It also didn't explain why you or any previous Keepers were brought to this world, which I thought it would. It was still a fine story, just not really what I thought it would be about. However, in order to experience the story you need to go on a frankly annoying series of fetch quests, that mostly just feature you running around and waiting just to talk to people multiple times, you rarely have to actually do anything other than talk to people. However if you finish the game after completing the DLC content you get an extra cutscene at the end that seems to be setting up another DLC or perhaps a sequel, maybe more questions will be answered there.
Just not really worth picking up honestly, the base game is great and this doesn't really add much.
