Graveyard Keeper: Better Save Soul Review (MADAM FISH)
Allow me to start with one thought: :(
The idea is perfect, bodies have souls, God won't let them into heaven because of some feud 100s of years ago, so you use old machines to rehabilitate the souls and smuggle them into heaven.
Fucking. Genius. Not only would you be able to give a body a proper burial, but help it's soul move on instead of becoming a ghost that haunts the land.
One issue, the gameplay is nothing. Like, most of the game is busy work, but it feels like progression. You start clueless and learn more and more, get better and better, more efficient. You unlock game changing stuff, like zombie minions, or a new plot of land like the quarry. You move around, manage your time, get good at keeping up with everything. It's satisfying to make a well oiled machine of interlocking networks.
This one has barely any impact on itself.
You get slightly better graves, simpler fertilizer recipes, and the ability to craft remotely. By the time you get that, you have everything set up not 2 feet from each other, and a teleporter in your pocket, with speed boost potions. You can also add a white skull to bodies, but you can easily get 100s of white skulls with way less time and effort without it. It takes like 50x more effort for an extra 10 points for the graveyard. Wheeee. It's micromanaging in the most unsatisfying way.
There's no reason to even care about the souls. All they give is shards to upgrade body parts and points to remote craft. You can let the things die and still get shards. There's no reason to even bother. Not like you can do anything but upgrade bodies painfully slowly. It's like a half baked mod charged at full price.
There could have been so much more. Or anything really. It doesn't even make anything easier in any significant way. All you can do is make beer remotely. Woo hoo! Now I get to ferry MORE water to the cellar!
Only buy it if you want 100% achievements like me. Otherwise it's a damn scam, even at 1$
