Gord Review (RakaMaru)

The Good:
Great engaging story.
Good graphics.
The tension never lets up, danger abounds.
Has so much potential.
The Bad:
Unfair quests, such as kill X amount of Y, but you already killed these, so you fail the quest.
Death spirals, perfect storm of how village dies quickly. Many get poisoned, bath takes too long, they are also losing sanity, so have to jump out of bath to have a mead, but they stumble and get afflicted, which causes some other ailment. Someone needs to revive, but they walk slow 'cuz they don't drop their load.
The Frustrating:
Trying to move workers to a spot to wait for monsters, but they won't drop their load (so they walk slow), then you have to right click each one to drop load.
When paused, the character groups don't update 1,2,3,4, etc... show the same info from the previous tab, but when you close it and un-pause, it works as it should, but I wanted to do this while paused.
As the Gord grew, I tried to expand, but expansion needs to be in visited area, but I "did" visit those areas, and they are not obscured in fog of war. Big rocks and trees cannot be cleared inside of the Gord.
Stories:
When I first started playing, I made everyone gather wood/reeds/food, but then they wandered and got attacked in non-explored areas. This is ok, so next I made soldiers guard each gatherer. This gave the gatherers time to escape while soldier took over after I saw they got attacked.
Suggestions:
Let the workers drop loads when you move them (maybe with ctrl-click or something). I wanted to put all my workers in a spot to wait in ambush for when my scouts/archer/axe walked by.
Let people "que" up to use bath/tavern, then go back to work automatically.
Stop hiding the "hermit" huts. I have the money to pay them but can't find them.
If you build a Gord wall, let everything inside be destructable ("clear this" icon).
Keep track of killed monsters and grant "victory" for those quests when they pop up.
Conclusion:
I had fun, will check this out again after some time to see if it gets patched.
