Golden Idol Mysteries: The Lemurian Vampire Review (SchrimpRundung)
I absolutely love the base game, but I cannot recommend this DLC. It feels like they really tried to cut some corners this time.
Some panels feel like they are not finished. Oftentimes I have to click on characters to be able to recognize their faces, instead of being able to clearly recognize their faces just by looking at them, as was the standard in the base game and the first DLC.
In addition to that there are some other examples of trying to cut corners, for example by reusing character models.
In one panel in the first case, there is the same character model 6(!) times next to each and in another in the same case, there are 4 other characters exactly looking the same aside from their hair color.
Or in the third case, where Zubiri Kerra doesn't look like him at all if you don't click on the character.
This may seem like a petty review, but this game is 90% looking at pretty panels/pictures and thinking, and unrecognizable faces or distractions hinder my enjoyment.
All in all I am disappointed by this DLC and cannot recommend it, which is a shame, because I think the base game + first DLC is one of my favourite puzzle/detective games of all time.
