Golden Idol Investigations: The Age of Restraint Review (strivinglife)
Had picked up the complete game w/ DLC as part of the initial release.
Another great story told in this DLC. If you liked the main game and previous DLC, you'll likely enjoy this one too.
I did have more trouble with some of the later items. As is getting common with the later DLC, there's a lot of sentences that have almost the same number of missing words as present words. A couple blanks I needed to brute force, and a handful of blanks towards the end I just looked up. (I'm old enough that I'd rather enjoy playing a game than suffer just to say I figured it out.)
They did all make sense in hindsight, and I finally fell for a red herring in the last (4th) full scene.
The last puzzle, as is usual for the series, tied everything together really nicely. It has been a while since I played the last DLC, so my memory was a little fuzzy on how this one ties in specifically, and the corresponding actions that were taken, but I remember enough that things clicked a bit. (Also made me reevaluate some assumptions I had made on the time between certain events and people.)
Recommended.
