Gargoyles Remastered Review (Cypherin)

TLDR:
Played and beat Gargoyles Remastered not long after it was released, and I will say I love it with the exception of the load times between screens (but that's due to the speedrunner in me).
(Slightly) Longer review:
Gargoyles Remastered feels like a love letter to, in my very personal opinion, one of the greatest games on the Sega Genesis in the 90's, where the people behind the remastered said "if isn't broke, why fix it?". With that said the game is exactly the same, even allowing you to play the original version of the game in terms of look.
I was initially worried about the look of the game having seen the original trailer and screenshots, but having played through it myself, I think they did a great job with the visuals. There was one section in the Forge level that I think could've used an update, but other than this, yeah, I was very impressed. I think the music has a symphonic aspect to it, where I think in some stages/areas, it really hits. In some areas, I feel like it misses some "oomph". But overall again, I enjoyed the music, which helped bring me back to my childhood and loving Gargoyles.
The controls are exactly the same. For some people I've watched play and stream the original, they have a hard time getting over what they deem as "clunkiness". I look at it instead as "letting the animations complete their frames", because even the original had beautiful animations as Goliath ran, jumped, flapped his way through run down castles and soaring skyscrapers. So if you didn't quite enjoy that "clunkiness", it's still here.
I have to cut this review short. But if I'm able, I'll edit it later. Again, only real downside for me personally are the load times that occur between sections. Other than this, I will definitely play more of this game. And I hope with the remaster, it will open up the wonderful game that's been with me for about 30+ years now.
