Garden Simulator Review (Chesh☙◦)
I started out playing this normally. Cutting grass, tending to flowers and crops.. but eventually it got too repetitive and because everything was locked and unlocking takes forever.. it was start day, water plants, end day. Even when my grass grew back it grew back patchy so I stopped cutting it. There was no upgrade for compost either (it always stops at 10 weeds) so unless you coat your yard in bins you're always going to have more weeds than you can make use of. I wanted to decorate but since the grid wasn't working there wasn't a point since everything came out crooked and looked horrible.
If you didn't want boxes raining from the sky and knocking into things you also needed to build a "landing pad" which was very large and obnoxious. They could have just had them arrive on the porch or just in front of it in a neat pile or just have the item added directly to your inventory.
The inability to trash items larger than the fence was annoying too. I ended up just chucking them out of my yard if I bought too many.
Why is there no scroll wheel option to switch between items in the hotbar?
Why do I need to change to the magnifying glass to pick up compost when I can't pick up yard items without switching to the hand? This makes no sense.
The cat while cute at first, soon became annoying. You couldn't tell it to stay so it was always getting in the way of the mower or the watering can. I didn't like bumping into it but at times there was nothing I could do because it was blocking my path. Ended up turning off my sound and just playing the game muted. That was not relaxing.
Finished the game for the sake of the achievements since I paid for this and felt obligated. Don't waste your money on this.
