This game is riddled with micro-transaction and real-world cash grab. Do not let any of the schills for it tell you otherwise. It has to many bugs still and major problems with the in-game currency. They are rushing a release for some reason when they needed at least another 3 to 6 months to polish it.
Lets now get to the heart of the problems.
1. Fast Travel is NOT free unless you BUY a battle pass
2. If you beat a boss, you do not get the rewards for it unless you use in-game currency to buy the reward
3. If you beat a encampment you do not get the rewards for it unless you use in-game currency to buy the reward
4. You beat a obstacle you do not get the rewards for it unless you use in-game currency to buy the reward
5. If you beat a Dungeon, you do not get the rewards for it unless you use in-game currency to buy the reward.
6. You want to upgrade your armor you paid for when you beat a objective? Not unless you use more in-game currency.
7. You want to Upgrade your base “Rennan Rest” Not unless you use more in-game currency.
8. You want to craft jewelry or upgrade it “you have to get momentum which is the only way to progress in the game Not unless you use more in-game currency.
9. You hear its CO-OP…. NO NO ITS NOT That is another deception, yes they have a few limited areas for it. But that is not Co-op not even close. But they do have an alliance system you pay for with YOU GUEST IT ….. MORE IN-GAME CURRENCY.
10. They have “LEGENDARY AND EPIC” chest… but better read the fine print “NOT GUARANTEED TO DROP THAT but more likely to drop common or rare”
11. Same for crafting gear, good luck with this games RNG I’ve seen bad this takes it to beyond bad.
12. The afore mentioned “RP” needed to claim rewards is limited. It regenerates 6 per hour (144) per day plus you can BUY more up to 3 times to give you 234. Beast battles where you get pelts to upgrade armor cost 30 or double rewards for 60… Basically you hit the wall fast, one dungeon alone is 60 rp.
13. After seeing the amount of XP NEEDED to advanced to the next levels after level 40 it is clear you will either grind and grind or not progress in any reasonable way. Simply put You will buy Golden dragons to buy RP.
14. Ride animation is just pathetic.
15. Many people are still getting stuck
AGAIN NOT A CO-OP GAME. You cannot explore it with friends.
Now in-game currency would not be a bad thing, except for the fact it limits your progression, limits your time to play the game and IS 100% designed to make people pay for it with real world currency.
There is better ways, time proven ways for a studio to make money: DLC, BATTLEPASS, Skins, Mounts etc. But to make a game to the point a person either uses real world money to help progress IS NOT the way and is looked upon as a scam.
What company does not want players playing it and praising it? NETMARBLE is who.
Maybe if enough people do not play it, they will wake up, but as of last night they are TONE DEAF and FAIL to LISTEN to their paying customers.
It took them 3 weeks to get a “real world currency issue resolved with my account” and not even a sorry or a minor compensation any other company would have done.
And now 4 days after launch all the Early Access players are still asking WHERE ARE OUR EARLY ACCESS REWARDS YOU PROMISED.
You read this review and still by it you’re a fool, I sure feel like one…
