Game Dev Tycoon Review (TK)
Because this game has "overwhelming positive reviews", this is all you need from me as input.
- This is not a proper tycoon game, its more like "Cookie Clicker" game, but publish games clicker. There are no proper mechanics behind it. Select genre of game, publish, wait, repeat. And that is almost the entire gameplay, game-score often depends on new features of the game-engine and any okay combination of genre. Very beginner friendly and too easy. Training staff is pointless. No decorating office. No choice in office building or location, or anyhing like that.
- Storyline ends once all console/hardware have been released during a period of 35 years which happens in about 4 hours(too fast progression). There are still a few things that can be researched after its finished, but whats the point if you know there is no more game content. You just get to publish more games and get more money. Rinse and repeat.
