Freedom Wars Remastered Review (Aura)
Ok, now do Soul Sacrifice next.
...
Actually hold off on that. Game is not gaming. Pls fix. Why does KB/M suck so much to use? Why does the game dislike Fullscreen resolutions?
↓
(Temporary Fix: Put Freedom Wars in "Windowed." That will get you past the character creator. I can't speak for the rest of the game. It's 2025, surely this game would've been optimized on release but I was hoping for too much. Cheers to everyone that didn't have launch problems)
...
Known Issues (Will edit this frequently the more problems I come across)
• Inconsistent Framerate (dialogue boxes, cut scenes)
• Fullscreen unoptimized (will crash after character creator this way)
• Forced AI (ruins immersion)
↓
(False alarm on this one however, English TTS is still horrible compared to the Vita version of the game with JP TTS that I cannot choose for some odd reason. That's terrible)
• KB/M is horrible
• JP voice acting is only available after you complete a bit of the tutorial. (Not implemented for your Accessory for some reason. Vita version had JP VA for Accessories)
• Scrolling through menus can crash your game (Black Market, Inventory, etc.)
• Can crash at loading screens randomly (save frequently)
• Entering/Exiting your cell or shops can crash your game
(Temporary Fix: For all of the menu crashing, you have to preload them into memory by brute force when you're scrolling tabs through your menus. There's a very high chance it will crash the first time but everything should be fine the second time around. That's alot of restarting. Freedom Wars autosaves through each bit of story or gameplay (Dialog transitional scenes, cut scenes, Missions, returning to your cell) so you don't have to worry about spam saving. The same goes for everything else as well that needs to be preloaded. This is also hard hardware dependent since most won't have this issue.)

(Personal solution: External hardware is causing problems for me personally. My microphone and my mouse are causing significant jumps in my framerate which can cause crashes. No clue why it's happening, Win 11 probably, this OS sucks. Remove any "non essential" pieces of hardware and you should be okay if you are having any problems regarding framerate. "Non essential" depends on the person obviously but it's still a weird occurrence regardless)
(Stop Sign: 3-1 straight up does not work, impossible to progress for me past this point. It consistently crashes around the 26 minute mark of the mission. A dialog box pops up around this point saying that the enemy has 50% left of life, drops to 1fps, stutters to try to get itself back up and running, black screens afterwards. There was entire frame of Grayscaling going on and that got a laugh out of me. I tried lowering my graphical settings to the lowest point possible, lowered my monitor's refresh rate from 160hz to 60hz and nothing. Very problematic.)

(Solution: Run the game in Admin. I guess I'm running the game this way from now on until the preformance patch comes out. All other problems are still persistent even in admin. Give the UI time to appear and disappear when those moments happen in order to lower the chance of a crash.)
For a game titled "Remastered," this is insanely careless and rushed. If you still have time to get your money back, please do so.
