Freebie Review (Kyzka)
It's a timing-based arcade game, where you have to shoot a ball from one of two cannons towards a spinning paddle to hit any of the two sides of the border which are green, making sure you miss the red sides or you will lose a heart. The ultimate objective is to get to the score of 50 in order to obtain the 5 achievements on offer.
Personally it took me less than 15 minutes to achieve all 5, largely because I realised that the secret was not to even bother concentrating on the rotating paddle, instead focus your attention on the heart or 1+ that rotates around the paddle and make sure you hit that. The law of averages should be in your favour and even if it isn't, you haven't really lost anything if you keep getting an extra life.
While I personally got the score of 65 using the above strategy I wasn't really trying to make a name on the leader board since it is currently showcased by the name 'Spitfire' who achieved the score of 9656. Evidently he is either a hacker/cheater or he's a serious gamer who recently had to have all his fingers replaced with cyborg metal ones due to severe RSI. So unless the leader board gets cleaned up to the land of plausibility, the accompanying high score leader board that comes with the game is a complete joke.
Graphically the game is presented in 2 modes, one which is normal and the second is if you like to have seizures every two seconds. It also contains three soundtracks all created by Gumbel of which groovy track 3 should have your hips bopping up and down in your seat.
http://www.freegamesinfo.net/ and https://www.facebook.com/gira01 are the keep it simple wizards who offer you a game called 'Freebie' for $1.00 (50 cents on sale). Evidently someone needs to buy them a dictionary so they can look up what the term 'freebie' means...
