Forza Horizon 4 Review (MrSteeel)

Take notes Ubisoft, this is how you sunset your game gracefully.
I'm not really a racing-type guy, but after hearing the game's delisting and seeing the whopping 80% off the price tag, I couldn't resist buying this. Oh boi, I'm so glad I did.
After spending a decent amount of time in-game, let me tell you about the experience fellow steam-lurker, because I've been there. I've seen the craziness, from the depths of the deepest lake to the top of the highest mountain, and I can assure you there's no game series like this on the market currently. (No, not even the Crew. Even if it could come close, shittysoft would rather have their entire workforce search for the one black guy mentioned in Japanese history to make him a samurai in their next game, rather than put up a tiny patch to make their older game work offline. The moral of the story: don't overeat snails ppl or you'll lose brain cells.)
Upon starting the game you'll be arriving in the most extensive sandbox I've ever seen. After doing the few "tutorial" races you'll pretty much left to your own devices, like when your mama went to talk to the neighbor Sarah for two minutes and hasn't come home for half a day. The game expects you to do the same stuff you did back then: go crazy and do whatever you want.
Want to explore?
Enjoy the vast sandbox, especially with the Ultimate edition's add-on packs. You might even come across some very social players and tackle the content in a group co-op session, or just some random fellow weebs to band together and share waifu liveries with each other. I've already seen more tofu drivers drifting off cliffs in this game than anywhere else in my entire life.
Are you more into competition?
Hop into PVP and have the most immersive Balkan driveway experience you could ever wish for. I shit you not, the only thing missing from the complete experience is the random players jumping out of their cars with baseball bats to whoop your arse. It's also a great learning tool, you'll be able to curse in at least ten different languages in no time if you're in the EU.
That's not all, if you have a fortnite-junkie kid you may cure their addiction by making them play elimination. It's a win-win situation if you ask me.
Completionist should also have a great time here with more than 750 cars to collect and tune, not to mention the outworld activities like smashing boards, jump-spots or the Forzathon which is a grand overworld co-op mode.
Overall I really enjoy this game, and sure as heck I'll buy into FH5 one day, when I'm done with this installment. If you decide to grab it, buy the Ultimate, the extra content in it is well worth the 6 bucks.
