Forgive Me Father Review (FatSnòrre)

First of all, this game is great in the first part (around half-way), great atmosphere, gunplay and difficulty is also well balanced. I actually had a blast with this game and definetely wanted t ogive a good review, then i got to the end. jesus christ. The entire last part of the game feels like a fever dream, and not in a good way. It just drags on and on and on and on and on and on, no reason for it, always the same "Cosmic" theme, basically just like six levels straight of going through the exact same shit over and over but i carried on, after all, wanted to beat the final boss. Then i got to the final boss. its hard to describe how terribly designed this boss is but i will try: The boss is really big and you are forced to look way up to shoot and damage him, which means you cannot look at the ground. The arena is tiny, yo ucan barely move around. All your melee weapons and half your firearms straight up dont have the reach to even hrut him, very cool, you put points into these and fought with them until now? Well fuck you, you dont get to use them for random reason. All of your skills (as journalist) are completely useless: Your "berserk rage joint" is useless cause you cannot reach him, meaning you can neither hurt him nor heal yourself, you cant stun him with camera, you cant hurt him with voodoo doll. Very cool, give us these abilities, let us enhance them with points and learn to effectively use them so you can do nothing with them against literally the only really hard boss in the game. He has a variety of attacks, whether you can evade them usually depends on the planet constellation and whether or not you sacrificed a goat this morning: He does a groudn pound which is so fast i didnt even register it until i went flying, he spams projectiles as well as massive fireballs you have to dance through and pillars of fire from the ground. When the fireballs hit they blind you so you just get stunlocked to death, meaning instakill usually. Pillars, Fireballs come from the ground, which you cant see cause you are looking up, great game design here, either you can see the boss or you can survive, very cool. But the worst thing is "the blob": A shallow but big mass of flesh that follows you around, damages and stunlocks you. it cant be killed, it persists throughout the entire fight and YOU CANT FUCKING SEE IT CAUSE YOU HAVE TO KEEP LOOKING UP. So 50% of this boss fight is just luck, whether the blob hits you or not since you cant evade it since you cant see the ground. Also it can just randomly block the way through the fireballs so yeah, this boss depends on sheer luck. Another great game ruined by perhaps the worst boss in gaming history, abilities are useless, half the guns are useless, he just has 5 billion hp and spams always the same AOE attack and you cant even see him and the ground. Great boss design, im honestly too frustrated to give it a good review, so yeah, first half good, second massive disappointment
