Football Manager 2021 Review (RogueHealer)
Life of a manager (nanny):
Your solid/important player wants to go to bigger leagues/teams, throws hissy fit if I don't sell them for pennies, eventually get enough money from them to sell and found good/better replacement. Smile while you watch them to waste their next 4-5 years in reserve team bench. While you roll on the millions you got from him.
Your just recently signed fringe/impact sub comes 15-20 games in season to ask new contract, because he thinks he's so important to team and wants star money with his 2 starts and 1 assist in those 15-20 games. Say no, watch him throw hissy fit and screams how he's going to ruin my career. Rest of the team doesn't gaf about him, because they love me because I always pet their heads when they train properly. Eventually gets loaned/sold to team in some siberian farm league.
Alternative version of earlier, you actually give the guy raise because figure that he's okay for the future. Again beginning of next season comes to ask more money again, just because. Sell him instantly away to some league with smaller salaries and smile while he wastes his next couple years there with less money.
Hold team meeting just before cup/league finals, tell the guys play well and become champions. Everyone is thrilled/encouraged. Except 2-3 guys who spent whole season as fringe/emergency backups, which throw hissy fit for too big ambitions. Win championship/cup, sell the complainers next summer to some beer league teams for pennies. Smile as they probably never reach that stage again.
Also always remember to pet your players gently and praise them if they're doing well in training or matches, if you don't they don't like you as nann..manager. Also if they're doing poorly you always have to tell them that's bad, or they don't like you as manager.
10/10 would nanny again.
