Five Nights at Freddy's: Into the Pit Review (Best Lilim Dorothy)
Okay so this is a semi review mostly just my thoughts on the game.
Personally don't care for the story I've never read any of the fazbear frights books but I still love the idea of this innocent child jumps into a pit and comes out with his father replaced with daddy springtrap.
The game has incredible Pixel art with the animatronics and the pizzaria as a whole. The human character feel a little off especially Oswald but it's just my own personal preference.
The games atmosphere is incredible but it loses it's pressure the more you play but that is ultimately due to something I've noticed during my third replay Springtrap is incredibly dumb.
I also don't think the higher difficulties removing hiding spots really helps with that feeling honestly it feels kind of cheap. Springtrap can lose you when you hide mere meters from him and left to do a mini-game which get quite boring after the repetition of the game sets in.
I also think the first play-through doesn't use Freddy or Bonnie enough being only rare occurrences.
Something I have to give credit for is the fact you can make your own custom difficulties from the aggression of chica and springtrap to the chance of Bonnie and Freddy messing with you. The difficulties of the mini-games, the battery life, if you get warnings of springtrap entering rooms and if you can use hiding spots and noises giving the player the power to make their own into the pit play-through adds so much repeatability for those looking for a challenge.
Something I think would've been cool is like Resident Evil games when you complete the game on a higher difficulties you get cheat codes you can use in another play-through. Maybe springtrap is really tiny or maybe you run twice as fast something simple like that would bring a new level of fun.
The game is incredibly short though which I think is a good and bad thing. It's good because you can replay it more but bad because the casual player will not get their Moneysworth.
But overall as someone who dropped Fnaf after 3 and disliked SB/Ruin I think this is a great step forward.
