FIFA 23 Review (abibas)
The only reason I bought a FIFA game is because of the World Cup. But they removed Brazil from the base game due to copyright issues. So, as a Brazil fan, that's a bummer. It's basically the same game every year, but somehow, it feels worse than before. The more animations they add to the game, the slower the game feels. Almost every match is scripted. Your players will not move as you want them to. Defenders will often leave their positions and run God knows where. Attackers will not take advantage of the open space and run in to open up the play. You have to manually set the instructions for that to happen. And even then, they do not do as they are told. Turning diagonally with an attacker feels like driving a truck. Tackling does not work half the time. The other half is a 50/50 whether you hit the ball or the player. If you ever get counter-attacked or do a counter-attack in the last few minutes of the game, it will always result in a comeback. Realism is definitely not in the game, no matter how much they try to hype you up. The FUT game mode is a glorified casino and is the only thing EA really cares about. On the technical side of things, the game requires EA's very own launcher, the EA app. This is an utterly useless app and bloatware at best. Along with the anti-cheat that prevents the game from even launching at times is truly an experience you will not forget. Thanks EA!
