Content & Replay Value
It took me 56 hours to 100% the campaign for this game with all achievements in place. The game is overall straightforward and linear and you're only given an option of choice at the end. Once finishing the campaign you can roam the world if you wish, but if you've completed the game, I don't see returning to it unless you choose multiplayer.
Is it worth buying?
Yes. The game is great and worth playing. It's considered the best from the series and that's because it's well paced and the map isn't too large to feel empty, a habit Ubisoft, later on, picks up. Be warned that DLCs and multiplayer will no longer be available after 1st of September 2022, so picking it now before then it's going to be great. Multiplayer may not be the main feature of this game, but it can be fun.
Verdict: Very Good
Rating Chart Here
Compared to Far Cry 1 & 2, I believe Far Cry 3 delivers an excellent experience for Far Cry and contains believable and interesting characters to deal with. Well pashed and fun game loop.
Far Cry 3 is an open-world first-person shooter in which you play as a young man called Jason Brody who searches for his family and friends after they have been abducted by a group of pirates led by a fierce leader called Vaas.

Far Cry 3 expands on the already present gameplay in Far Cry 2 with a new world, and new activities you have to do, such as base conquering, hunting animals, assassination contracts and an interesting skill tree that helps you to conquer and defeat your enemies.

Compared to its predecessors, I found Far Cry 3 a lot of fun, despite its age and time. It's well pashed and the characters are overall really interesting and well thought out. Overall, I enjoyed this game for every single minute of it.

Visually this game still holds up well for 10 years of age. I've had a little problem adjusting my eyes to the grainy grass at first, but as time goes by it became natural. Characters are beautiful, but some of them look rather repetitive, especially when it comes to NPCs that you encounter.

Sound is great and overall it offers a great feel for the weapons and interactions in the world. I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised to find out that Skrillex took part in this game and offers you a great moment in one of the missions when the song starts. I've been honestly surprised by how well and fun that mission became with that song in. Props for that!

As I mentioned before, you play as Jason Brody, a middle child who goes with his family and friends on a holiday trip, to Rook Islands, where he gets captured by a group of pirates and separated. You manage to escape, and you're trying to save your family and friends, but you can't do it without the help of the natives who offer you their skill and wisdom in the arts of hunting. From there your story unfolds as you try to take revenge on Vaas and explore the islands.

𧡠Length:
π² Short
π² Average
βοΈ Long
π² Unlimited
The game is rather long and will take you over 50 hours if you're planning to get every single collectible as I did. The game offers two averagely large maps that offer interesting settings and awesome main quests and secondary missions.
𧩠Difficulty:
βοΈ Easy
βοΈ Normal
βοΈ Hard
π² Brutally Hard
π² Impossible
The game offers a wide range of difficulties. I've personally played it on Survivor (Normal) difficulty as I wanted to have a little bit of challenge, but mainly focus on the story. As you increase the difficulty you get detected easier and animal bites do more damage. Falling is more realistic, damage-wise, and you take less damage before you die. Enemies also have a little more hp and will detect you more easily.
βConclusion:
Far Cry 3 felt like a really well-thought-out open-world first-person shooter. I can understand why so many considered this as being the best Far Cry game. I personally enjoyed it a lot and I found the main villains to be excellently acted and the plot overall felt pretty interesting. I highly recommend playing this game before the 1st of September 2022 if you can, if not do know that the single-player experience should be alright even after.
