Fallout: New Vegas - Courier's Stash Review (Kyezoar)

All the Pre-Order Bonuses at a cheap price, Satisfactory.
The Courier's Stash DLC for Fallout: New Vegas includes 4 pre-order equipment packs that provide the Courier with some extra gear when starting a new game. It's practically a fail safe to prevent pre-order content from being inaccessible to nonpre-order users as well as somewhat breaking the balance of the early game. As getting all this content when you're fresh in Goodsprings does shake things a bit.
Included in the Stash is the Caravan, Classic, Mercenary, and Tribal Packs. Each giving you items like armor, weaponry and aid usually themed around the pack's name. Notable items include, Bleak Venom, cause I have no idea what you're supposed to use this for, Super Stimpacks, as early game it is nice to have pretty much a full heal on standby, The Vault 13 Canteen, as it actually isn't just a souvenir and you regain a small amount of health for free after at a interval, and lastly the Mercanary's Grenade Launcher, as not only is it very powerful to have a explosive weapon that early but also because it's mainly famous for it's use in New Vegas speedruns. Pretty much the items boil to either being okay, questionable, or unnecessary.
Overall, the Courier's Stash isn't a bad DLC per say, for 1$ it's a okay amount of goodies and a decent way to not gatekeep pre-order content. But the items usually range from either being stuff you could find easily in the Mojave or just clutter, with a few exceptions. Personnally if you have this DLC from buying it by accident or from the bundle/Ultimate Edition, I recommend just not using the weaponry until you have access to the non-exclusive versions, of course the armor and aid items can be used as is, I don't think they're that balance breaking as compared to having a Grenade Launcher right after your head gets reconstructed.
