Factorio: Space Age Review (Hawkeye)
The best thing for me after over 1,000 hours and now the new Space Age expansion is the little things. The tiny quality of life things that you miss at first glance, and don't appreciate until you're knee deep in it.
Like the fact that when you drag a new belt with your mouse, it keeps the new tiles lined up, even if you move your mouse out of line.
Like the fact that if you are removing items from the floor that it leaves blueprints alone...unless you click a blueprint item first, then it removes them.
Factorio is full of hundreds of these tiny examples of polish...of developers playtesting the living crap out of their product and really understanding their product. Anyone who has even programmed anything for business or leisure will understand how much time you can spend doing things like this...and I take my hat off to them.
Good development costs time and good development costs money. Make no mistake, this is worth every penny.
