F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate Review (Button Eyes)
F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate is the second and last expansion for F.E.A.R., taking place shortly before the ending of the main game and during Extraction Point. You play as a new character named The Sergeant, who is a member of the second F.E.A.R. team as they investigate Armacham's Project Perseus. Despite being unrelated to the main character, you can use the slow-mo ability. There are also new weapons and enemies, mainly the Nightcrawler soldiers, and their commander serves as a pretty challenging boss fight.
What makes this expansion great is its length. Its longer than the first one, almost as long as the main game. But like EP, the levels don't feel monotonous, and I think even cooler with locations such as an abandoned underground city and a cloning facility. After finishing the game, you'll unlock 3 bonus missions, which are short levels with no story and no saves. Your only objective here is to push on and kill enemies, but its a great place to test weapons.
Despite possibly being non-canon, F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate is ironically my favorite content of the first game, even more than the main game. The length, cool levels, unique weapons, and bonus content are all plus points. Definitely give this expansion a try, its also the one with better horror parts and doesn't feel that forced.
