Dyson Sphere Program Review (jawn^)

I don't leave reviews very often, but Dyson Sphere Program has earned it, as well as a few others I am going to also leave reviews for.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? As I'm sure at this point nobody will see this anyway at this point in the game's successful existence.

If you're a fan of the micromanaging and managing the efficiency of logistics to an extreme degree, you may find DSP lacking in that department, but for me that's exactly what keeps drawing me back to it when games like Satisfactory start giving me a headache over obsessing over the input:output ratios and such. DSP more than makes up for the lack of logistics optimization with it's interstellar, galaxy spanning automation and logistics as well as it's very nice blueprint system.

Do not make the same mistake as me and approach this game like Satisfactory or Factorio, thinking you're making a mistake by NOT having your entire factory constantly operating; in fact, it's beneficial and behooves you greatly to not overproduce early on while still definitely rewarding you and necessitating automation.

The tech tree is nice and big, with plenty of unlocks to keep you feeling rewarded and yet still not punishing you if you go at a slower pace. But once it clicks and you really understand the difference between DSP and the other popular entries in the automation genre, you can really start colonizing planets/systems at a very fast pace. Where I'm at now compared to where I started with DSP is light years apart, I approached it entirely the wrong way as a Satisfactory & Factorio vet and I unfairly judged it as such, but now I cannot put it down and it is SO satisfying just covering entire planets and wrapping stars in plastic and metal to harness every drop of their energy. This is one of my favorite games of all time now that I "get it" and my hats off to the devs, I almost felt like a kid again just disappearing hours of my life into the wee hours of the morning. I have also had ZERO issues with performance with this game, they really make excellent use of Unity in this game.

Overall, if you're a fan of automation and/or space expansion at all, I feel like this game is a 100% must play, even not on sale it's worth every penny imo. I haven't dove into a game like this in a very long time and I'm looking forward to hundreds more hours building Dyson Spheres around every star in the universe!
