Dorfromantik Review (Purble Hampter)
TWO PARTER:
Really disagree with most of the reviews here. I found the game frustrating, stressful, and honestly completely not the relaxing experience I hoped it would be. Do you get gorgeous vistas and peaceful music? yeah! absolutely. But the stretch goals to unlock new content seem frustratingly just out of my reach. I spend so much time checking tile placement, splitting out rails from rivers to reduce placement, and trying to dial in all the quests but despite my best efforts and plenty of skin unlocks I can't complete a single major challenge!
I'm going to keep attacking this game on the good faith assumption that I suck and don't have enough practice and that I got some bad luck thrown in the mix. I'll see if I can put another update in after a few more hours.
ALRIGHT well I came around to liking this game. you have to un-learn some stressful and short-sighted strategies that other games praise. I prioritized building a puzzle that fits together best, and made every other concern secondary. It's going quite well so far! this game taught me to chill out L:-D
