Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom Review (Fredo)
TL;DR: Other than stories (which is 9/10 coming from a Doraemon fan), the game is below average to me. Not to mention it is extremely repetitive and short. Couldn't bring myself to recommend it at this price, even after 20% sale I got this game from, it is still way overpriced. May be try it when it is $10 or less.

If you feel like it worth the price for another untold story of Doraemon then go for it.
The game created a story very faithful to Fujio's style, which is to say very wholesome, lots of friendship, tension, final relief and tear-stealing ending.
Although the story is very good, the gameplay itself is rather grindy and may I say, quite boring. Before long you will find yourself in perpetual cycle of waking up, water the crop, finish daily bounty, talk to everyone and go fishing until end of the day.
Farming have little impact to the game, it doesn't even matter which crop you grow, you always have enough money from fishing, and energy from clinic's medicines.
The game have severe lack of side goal to keep you motivated. In stardew valley you may want to delve deeper in the mine for new material, museum collectible and Community Center, maybe good weapon/ unlock at every major depth marks and as soon as that one complete you get rewarded the entry to yet another dangerous place. The sense of mystery not knowing what's await keep you coming back to it. You have none of that here.
I cheated and watch last quest online because I didn't level up friendship with some people thinking it was optional. But if what I research was right, I didn't miss out much. Mostly another garden, a greenhouse and some new crops in year 2, cupid's bow.
I finish the whole story, got every upgrade, meet beluga, fill the field with mini raincloud by the first week of Fall first year. The game is extremely short.
